Do you truly have a servant’s heart? Show it by joining the first Adult Foot Washing Team. Following orientation you will travel to Lusaka, the capital of Zambia where you board a TMI truck for a five-hour ride to the Teen Missions in Zambia base in Ndola. After a day to rest and repack you will travel deep into the bush to minister at three AIDS Orphans Rescue Units.
You will make a difference in the lives of these children as you wash their feet and put a clean pair of socks and shoes on them. The gift of these shoes will prove invaluable in preventing sores and infections and protecting their feet during long walks to school. You will also enjoy sharing Bible stories, playing games and singing songs with these needy children. On the way back to the airport for your trip back to North America, you will stop to barter for souvenirs such as wood carvings, baskets and traditional artwork.
NOTE: You will only be permitted to pack personal belongings that fit in a carryon. The rest of the weight limit is needed to take over the socks and shoes.
Involvement Expense: $3290 Plus $30 registration fee (USD)
