June 12 to August 6, 2021
After the heat and humidity of Boot Camp, you will be prepared to serve the Lord in Brazil, a vast South American country which stretches from the Amazon Basin in the north to vineyards and the massive Iguaçu Falls in the south.
Travel: After completing training at the Lord’s Boot Camp, you bus to the Orlando International Airport and board a flight that takes you out across the Bahamas, the Caribbean Sea, Suriname, French Guyana and the Equator, before arriving in Fortaleza, Brazil. From here, a connecting flight along the Atlantic coast takes you to Belem, located at the mouth of the Amazon River. A three-hour bus ride takes you to your project site in Juquiri, located on the banks of the Moju River.
Ministry: You will begin construction on a church for the local believers, using clay bricks, reinforced concrete and metal roofing. There will be opportunities to share the Gospel through open-air and street evangelism using dramas, puppets, songs and testimonies.
Adventure: Put your bartering skills to use as you shop for your summer souvenirs at Ver-o-Peso, an open market in Belem and visit the Forte do Presépio, which guarded Belém in the colonial days.
Project Expense: $3290 U.S. plus $30 Registration
