Ministry: Your team will partner with ADVANCE FOR LIFE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY on work projects including painting, digging water lines, etc. at their school. You will also have opportunities to communicate the Gospel message with the local children through puppets, dramas, songs, storytelling, and other evangelistic tools that you will be equipped with at Boot Camp. After your time at the school, you will bus to Kentani on the coast of the Indian Ocean where you will share the Gospel in the rural villages. 

Travel: After Commissioning, you bus to the Orlando International Airport for a flight to Newark, New Jersey and from there travel across the Atlantic Ocean to Johannesburg, South Africa. From the airport, you will bus two hours to the Teen Missions in South Africa base near Pretoria. Here you will spend the night before leaving the next morning on a 14-hour drive to East London located on the Indian Ocean.

Adventure: It is winter in the Southern Hemisphere, so you may enjoy a chilly swim in the Indian Ocean while on your project if you’re up for it! You will also visit our South Africa Teen Missions base and enjoy an overnight safari where you will have the chance to see the “Big 5” animals (cape buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion, and rhino). Other animals that you may see are giraffe, baboon, zebra, and antelope. Bartering in the markets for wooden animals, brightly colored clothing, beaded jewelry, and handmade baskets will be a great way to purchase souvenirs to help you remember your time serving in Africa.
