Teen (ages 13-19)

June 11 to July 30, 2021

Travel: Following Boot Camp training, you will bus to the Orlando International Airport where you will board your flight to Ecuador. Passing over Cuba and the Caribbean Sea to Panama City, Panama, your connecting flight will take you to Guayaquil, Ecuador. From Guayaquil you will travel three hours by bus to the Ecuadorian Mennonite Evangelical Church Camp where the team will be staying for the summer. At the end of the summer you will drive eight hours, through the Andes, to fly out of Quito, the capital of Ecuador. 

Ministry: The project is to help with construction on the Training Center being built by the Mennonite Church in Ecuador. Your main project will be to construct eight iron and concrete columns and to begin laying the block walls of the building. On the property there are several other small jobs that can be done to prepare the base for the training of pastors, leaders, and missionaries. 

Adventure: What is a trip to Ecuador without visiting Ciudad Mitad del Mundo?  Here, you can stand in both the Northern and Southern hemispheres at the same time, and there is an ample supply of souvenirs for shopping. If time permits, you may get to visit a local cultural center where you will learn about the life of the area’s national Indian tribe.

Project Expense: $3190 U.S. plus $30 Registration
