Preteen Boot Camp

Note: Project & Travel to be determined in October 2021. Subject to changed.

Come and be a part of the very first Preteen team to Greece! Greece is the southernmost country in Europe and is known for its ancient history, but also for its rugged mountains, forests, lakes and beautiful coastlines along the Aegean Sea to the east, the Mediterranean Sea to the south and the Ionian Sea to the west.

Travel: After your training at the Lord’s Boot Camp, you bus to the Orlando International Airport (flights not confirmed yet!) to Thessoliniki where you will board a bus and travel south for 130 miles to Leptokarya Pieria, located on the Thermaikos Bay of the Aegean Sea.

Ministry: The project will be to do various renovation projects at the AZ Bible Center Camp, a ministry of the Greek Evangelical Church of Katerini. The camp is located just across the street from the Aegean Sea and at the foothills of the imposing and majestic Mount Olympus. You may also be involved in assisting with the children’s programs at the camp.

Adventure: In addition to having a beautiful beach just across the street from the camp where you can swim, there will be an opportunity to visit Athens, a city rich in biblical history. While in Athens you will see the Acropolis and the Parthenon, considered one of the greatest feats of Greek antiquity. The Acropolis was the center of ancient Athens and served as a citadel protecting the city. The Parthenon was the largest temple of the classical period, dating back from 447 BC to 338 BC. There may also be an opportunity to visit Agora which was the marketplace and center of everyday life in ancient Athens. Nearby is the Church Of The Holy Apostles, built in the 10th century. The Olympieion is another site to see as it was the largest temple in ancient Greece.

Project Expense: $ To be determined in October 2021 U.S. plus $30 Registration
