Sydney Vickery

Sydney Vickery was born and raised in Merritt Island, FL. When she was very young she traveled on mission trips with her parents who are former staff and had attended Teen Missions Bible, Missionary & Work (BMW) Training Center. Sydney gave her life to Christ when she was eight years old. She was involved with Teen Missions International when she was on Peanut teams, (7-9 year olds). She then went on a summer team to South Africa in 2013 and then to Malawi in 2017. Even though she has been around missions and grew up in a Christian home and was involved in her church, it was her summer spent in Malawi where she felt God calling her to serve Him in ministry.  She prayed for God to direct her path and to give her peace in her decisions for her future. 

After she graduated High School she began a three-year commitment at Teen Missions Int'l as a BMW student in the Fall of 2019. Sydney completed two years of Bible, Missionary & Work training in December 2021. She enjoyed getting a better grasp on scripture by digging into the Word daily and growing in her walk with the Lord.  There was much practical work learning as well, that will be useful on the mission field and in life. During the summer of 2021 she went as a leader for the first time to Honduras with a Preteen team. Now that she is finished with her two years she is eagerly waiting to begin her one-year internship as soon as she gets the needed support funds. As of now she hopes to serve at Teen Missions Headquarters with the possibility to split her time at the base in Malawi, Africa.
