Mike & Hannah Blair Newsletter (Spring 2021)

Our Dear Ministry Partners,

We praise God for all of the ministry opportunities that He has given us this semester. Since the beginning of January, Mike has been able to introduce the ministry of Teen Missions to over 3,600 students at 31 different school chapels, youth groups and conferences. This is the result of your partnership. God has taken the investment that you have made in his kingdom through us to challenge thousands of students to devote their lives to Jesus. Pray with us that the seeds that have been planted in these hearts will begin to grow in the coming season. May God raise up for Himself workers who are fully devoted to His Son in response to the prayer that Jesus has called us all to pray, “Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field (Matt 9:38).”

One of the opportunities that Mike had was to minister to teens at a series of homeschool conferences called “Teach Them Diligently”. There were four conferences which took place in different cities around the country (Nashville TN, Rogers AR, Round Rock TX and Mobile AL). In the picture included, you will see Mike leading the Teen Program, along with staff (and one student) from Teen Missions who were leading the students in worship through song. These conferences were an excellent avenue to introduce teens to the ministry of Teen Missions. During these conferences, the teen program ran from 7 PM to 9 PM on Thursday night, and then again from 9 AM to 5 PM on Friday and Saturday.

As some of you know from our last update, our family is preparing to leave for Teen Missions headquarters on Saturday, May 15. Once there, we will be working to prepare the training camp for our summer missions program.

We are leading the team to Ecuador this summer. Our project will be to continue construction on an activity center at a Christian ministry located about a three-hour bus drive from Guayaquil (in the southwestern part of the country).

We will also be looking for opportunities to share the Gospel with people living in nearby towns and villages.

Here are the dates for our summer itinerary:

May 17-June 11: Preparing the missions training camp (known as The Lord’s Boot Camp) for team members who will be arriving on June 12

June 12-26: Taking our team through the missionary training camp

June 27-July 26: Serving the Lord at our project site in Ecuador

July 27-July 30: Team debrief

July 31-August 13: Working at Teen Missions headquarters, participating in the post-summer program wrap up

August 15: Planning on being back in MI

Join us in praising God for:

-Answering our prayer to introduce the ministry of Teen Missions to thousands of students in the midwest and beyond

-Hannah being able complete the semester of homeschool with our kids

-The opportunity to lead a missions team to Ecuador this summer

We invite you to pray with us:

-That Holy Spirit will unify our team and leadership and prepare us for the ministry that we will be involved with in Ecuador

-That God will prepare the hearts of those whom we will be sharing the Gospel with.

-That God will protect our team (and the eleven other teams going out this summer) from the attacks of the Enemy, and that he will keep us safe from the harm that is prevalent in this fallen world.

In Jesus,

Mike, Hannah and all the kids
