Malawi is a landlocked country in Southeastern Africa commonly known as the “warm heart of Africa” because of its kind and hospitable people. On the eastern border of the country stretches the large Lake Malawi.

The landscape consists of rural villages, farmland, and mountainous regions. Most of the population lives in rural areas where daily life is closely tied to agriculture, fishing, and village life.

The people of Malawi also have significant physical needs, as this nation has struggled with poverty and a lack of access to medical care.
