Lupe McElvenny

Lupe grew up in San Diego, California, before moving to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, as a young teenager. From an early age, she was involved in her local church, where she came to know the Lord personally and began to grow a heart for serving others and sharing the Gospel.

Through former Teen Missions team members in her family, Lupe was first introduced to Teen Missions and felt the Lord stirring her heart toward missions. At 16 years old, she stepped out in faith and joined her first summer team to Honduras. That experience confirmed her calling to missions, and since then she has had the opportunity to serve in the Philippines, the Dominican Republic, and Tanzania, first as a team member and later as an assistant leader.

After graduating from high school, Lupe followed God’s leading to join the Sojourner School of Ministry with Teen Missions. During her time there, she deepened her understanding of God’s Word and developed practical missionary skills while working in the finance department. She is now preparing to spend eight months serving her internship at a Teen Missions base in Africa before returning to lead an American team in 2027.
