Ashley Simmons

Ashley was born in North Carolina, but her family moved to Tennessee when she was nine years old after her father retired from the military. Ashley always had a talent for easily connecting with kids, and in 2023, she volunteered with the kids’ ministry at church.

She first heard of Teen Missions International after her childhood friend went on two mission

trips with them and was inspired to go on one herself. She was extremely excited to see that there was a puppet class and drama class to help share the Gospel, and that’s when she knew that she was meant to go on a mission trip with Teen Missions Int’l. In 2024 she went on her first mission trip ever, which was to Taiwan. There, she shared the Gospel to hundreds of children and adults, where her life was changed forever.

During that summer, as well as her mission trip in 2025 to Peru, she learned that language

barriers cannot keep the Gospel from being shared, and it also showed her what hard work truly looks like. It showed her how much can happen if your gaze is fixed upon the Lord Jesus Christ, and that the Lord still shows up and works wonders no matter where you are.

Her internship will begin in September 2026 where she will, Lord willing, be serving the Lord in Australia, until May 2027.
