Audrey Wimmer

Audrey was born in Caribou, Maine and lived in Maine her whole life before moving to Florida. She has one older sister, and grew up on a small farm in a rural area. She knew she wanted to live overseas from a very young age, but didn’t learn about missions until much later. She came to Christ through some friends bringing her to a youth group where her youth leader encouraged her to put more thought into her interest in mission work.

The summer before her junior year of high school, Audrey felt a strange prompting to Google “youth mission trips”, and the Lord spoke to her specifically about one trip she saw. This was the Brazil Work team in 2023 through Teen Missions, and this began her involvement with missions. She committed her life to be a missionary at Boot Camp in 2023, and went on a trip to Africa the next year before coming to Sojourner School of Ministry. She has spent the last two years studying God’s Word and learning practical skills, as well as growing her fire for missions.

After she finishes her second year at school, Audrey will be starting her internship, in the fall of 2026. Lord willing, she plans on spending her internship at the Teen Missions Australia base. She will have the opportunity to learn how things are run at a different base, and serve in their offices and wherever else there is a need. She is so excited to see what God will do in her time there, and how He will grow her fire for Him and for missions even more.
