Elijah & Lane Swaney

Lane was born in Jalisco, Mexico, to missionary parents, William and Katie Cooke. Growing up on the mission field gave her a love for the Gospel, people and different cultures.

At 14, Lane joined her first Teen Missions International (TMI) team to Thailand, where God began calling her toward full-time ministry. She later  attended the Sojourner School of Ministry, and spent a year on staff with TMI  in Tewantin, Australia. Through these experiences, God strengthened her faith and deepened her passion for missions.

Elijah was born in Southern California, but moved to Wyoming at a young age. His first exposure to missions was on a Teen Missions trip to Tanzania in 2021. From that point on Elijah has been passionate about missions, and eventually attended the Sojourner School of Ministry. During one year spent overseas, split between Cambodia and the Philippines, the Lord challenged and grew him in many ways, truly calling him to full-time missions work

Lane and Elijah met at Sojourner School of Ministry and after a few years of being good friends and dating they got married in October 2025. Because their own teenage years played such an important role in shaping their faith, they are especially passionate about reaching young people. Their desire is to help youth encounter Christ, grow in their faith, and discover God’s purpose for their lives.They both feel God leading them to join staff and continue to serve Him through youth ministry. They love leading summer teams and are excited to be a part of this ministry and see God’s will be done.
