Faith Petersen

Faith was born and raised in Merritt Island, Florida. With her parents serving as full-time missionaries at Teen Missions Int’l (TMI), she had the opportunity to travel the world and participate in various evangelistic programs. Her upbringing significantly influenced her perspective on global missions and made her aware of the need for individuals willing to be sent out.

Due to Faith’s involvement with Teen Missions as a staff kid, she was inspired by the work God was doing in the lives of the teenagers at the Lord’s Boot Camp and was eager to join the action herself! In 2018, Faith went to South Africa as a team member for the first time and, by the end of the trip, had committed her life to full-time Christian service. Throughout her high school years, she continued to be involved in short-term missions and, after graduation, felt the Lord’s leading to join Sojourner School of Ministry!

For the next two years, Faith studied in-depth Bible and mission courses and received practical ministry training from experienced missionaries at the TMI base in Florida. During her second year at Sojourner, she also served as one of the school’s Resident Assistants, which helped her mature in biblical leadership.

After graduating from Bible school in the spring of 2025, she served eight months of her year-long internship at the TMI base in Colombia! There, she had the privilege of putting her cross-cultural training into practice and learned so much about what it means to serve God wholeheartedly. Now, through the direction of the Holy Spirit, Faith has decided to join Teen Missions Int’l as a full-time staff member! Faith is so excited for this next season of life and can’t wait to see how the Lord will move!
