Julia Owens

Julia was raised in Dayton, Tennessee along with her big family. Julia’s father was a youth pastor at her home church. She grew up attending church and being a part of her parents’ ministry to love on young adults and teenagers. Growing up in a house with open doors greatly impacted Julia’s heart to serve.

Upon graduating high school Julia planned to attend a local college and major in education in the hope of one day becoming a teacher. The summer after her graduation, she went on a Teen Missions team to Zambia and her eyes were opened to the need of God’s love stretched far beyond her own culture. When she returned home she immediately signed up for Sojourner School of Ministry run by Teen Missions. The more she has learned about God’s Word the more her heart grows for youth and especially young women and mothers. She aspires to help teach and fellowship with them in her future. Lord willing she has the chance to do that on her internship!

Starting in January of 2027 Julia will be going to the great continent of Africa. Through the year-long internship she will be going to Zambia, Uganda, and Madagascar. She is excited to see how the Lord will continue to grow her and teach her through this time.
