Lauren Koch
Lauren was born in Burnsville, Minnesota, and lived in Burnsville for nine years of her life. Her family then moved to a cute neighborhood in Minneapolis, Minnesota and has lived there ever since. Lauren’s parents raised their family in the church, and her parents still serve at their home church which has influenced Lauren’s passion to serve in missions.
The youth ministry Lauren was a part of had an opportunity for high schoolers to go on a stateside mission trip to Colorado. Through that experience, Lauren’s eyes were opened to missions and serving others. After that experience, Lauren’s parents told her about Teen Missions because they both had gone on summer mission trips with TMI in the past.
In the summer of 2023 Lauren went to Teen Missions for the first time. That opened her heart to ministry overseas, such as teaching and serving children and young women. Lauren went on a second team with TMI to India and when she got home she made the decision to go to Sojourner School of Ministry with Teen Missions. She started school in the winter of 2025. Through this she was able to lead a team to Cambodia in 2025 and Lord willing, will be leading a team to Malawi in the summer of 2026.
In the beginning of January 2027, Lauren will begin her year-long internship serving in three countries in Africa; Zambia, Madagascar and Uganda. She is excited to see how the Lord will continue to grow her and teach her through this time.
