Amanda Evans Newsletters (Winter 2026)

Hey Family & Friends,

Happy New Year!! We have been pretty busy since coming back from Christmas vacation—registering kids for the summer and sending out their packets that have letters and prayer cards to help them raise money for the team they are going on. We have 175 team members fully registered. So, right now as I write this letter we are doing tax receipts, about 5,000 of them. Our volunteer ladies have been helping us to get them out by the end of January, and then the next big project is getting the newsletters out.

Ok, an update on my road trip I did in October 2025. It was an awesome trip and I enjoyed getting to see everyone. My first stop in North Carolina was to stay with friends, the Deegan family. Then on my way to Pennsylvania, I made time to stop in DC for two nights to explore. I enjoyed walking around the city and I got to try an e-bike which was fun, but the last street I had to cross to my car, I ended up getting hit by another e-bike. The guy was very nice and asked if I was OK. I was just pretty bruised, but I did enjoy riding the bike and will do it again.

My next stop was Staten Island, NY to see my sister, brother-in-law and niece. I stayed for the weekend and got to be a part of my niece’s birthday party (10/4) and then my sister took me out for my birthday (10/6). I was so happy that I got to spend time with them. Then my next stop was in Pennsylvania where I spent a week with friends and got to talk to a lot of people there. I did have a get together, but unfortunately due to the weather no one showed which was a bummer. However, I did gain one more monthly supporter-Praise God! My next stop was Michigan where I got to hang out with friends and speak at a ladies Bible study. While I was there I ended up going to Wisconsin to volunteer with Samaritan’s Purse for two days cleaning up after houses got flooded and then I went back to Michigan. On my way back down to Florida, I made another stop in North Carolina to see more friends. Thank you everyone for the prayers!  I’m thankful that my car ran well and got good gas mileage. Since being back, I was able to get more monthly supporters-Praise God! I want to say thank you to everyone that allowed me to stay at their house. You are a blessing.

This summer, I will be on the Launch Team which will be taking care of the property, answering phone calls, staying caught up on office work, cleaning rooms and working in the kitchen. We will also be running three Debriefs, which is the time at the end of the summer where the teens learn how to share their summer experiences and how to adapt to being back home.

FREE TIME

I enjoyed being with my family during Christmas time. During my off time, I enjoy hanging out with friends, playing games and talking. I still have the opportunity to help with the homeless ministry on Monday night and have been doing it for about five years. I finally said yes about speaking one night where I shared my testimony, what I do in the ministry and why I do it. I’m nervous about speaking, but I'm really glad I did. God is working through me!!

Thank you everyone for all the support-prayerfully and financially!!
