Proverbs 3:5,6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
Greetings to my loving family and friends.
I give thanks to the four mothers who helped shape my life: my loving mother, wife, daughter, and granddaughter. They all taught me how to love and to share.
I rejoice with a heart full of happiness that my 14 year-old grandson, Brennan, received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. I am so glad at the age of 94 that I get to go fishing and watch him play baseball. He is my buddy and helps with the work I need done around the house.
God blessed us with a place to live here on Merritt Island, which is 46 miles long and 17 miles wide. My house is near the launch pads at the Space Center. I can hear the roar of the rockets and see them fly over my house on a clear day and see the flames at night. There have been over 50 launches this year already!
Owning a house also means continual upkeep. The floor has all been replaced from the water damage. Now I will replace my windows with impact windows to protect the house from storms. It will bring them up to code. There is always something…
The mother dove has returned to the nest she made last year and sits on two eggs. The nest is in my flower pot on my front porch.
April 23, I helped with putting up Teen Missions larger Big Top Tent (it was my 48th time), preparing for our Boot Camp. It seats 1000 people. It is what happens under the tent that pleases God— seeing the life-changing experiences. Pray for the teens that come. It will be my 48th year. On May 3, I was blessed once again to be part of the Teen Missions Tough Gator 5K Mud Run with around 630 people. The funds raised go to help the underprivileged overseas. No, I did not run, but I did walk part of it and talked to many about how they liked the course. They told me it was one of the best. One man said it was his family’s favorite time. Most were proud of how muddy they got.
My book about Betty is coming along well, it is a hard job to write and proof. I hope it gets to the publisher by August. My neighbor, who is my art teacher, told me I am improving with my painting.
Thanks for your prayers and encouragement. It is lonesome living by myself so I try to stay busy. I go out to Teen Missions a few days a week. When Boot Camp starts in mid-June, I will go out more to encourage the teams. Please pray for the 300 teens and leaders as they go through training at the L ord’s Boot Camp and then go all around the world to share the Gospel.
Prayer Requests:
- My health and safety
- Salvation for my family and friends
- To be a better witness for Jesus
- To glorify God each day and be a blessing to others
Thanks and God Bless,
Bob Lane
