Brant & Mary Lane Newsletter (Winter 2026)

Family & Ministry Update

It’s strange sending a Winter update from Florida, because it usually feels like Spring and Summer most of the year. We look forward to whatever cold days come our way. It is nice to have a break from the humidity!

We  enjoyed having time in November, December and early January to spend time with family. In early November, our niece, Hannah, got married. We were blessed to witness this event in Helen, Georgia (she is the first of the Lane grandchildren to be married).  We traveled to SC for Thanksgiving, then back again for Christmas and the New Year. It was a refreshing time and went by too fast. We enjoy every moment that we’re able to spend with both sides of our family and all of our children together.

Ministry work at Teen Missions is always happening. Even though we aren’t in “Boot Camp” mode year-round, a lot is going on as we maintain the Florida property and work on projects, stay involved with work going on at our overseas bases and prepare for upcoming Spring break and Summer teams. These are just a few of the main things we’re involved in. Brant continues to take care of the vehicles on property, and has recently helped finish work in the new display room located in the main office building (please come visit Teen Missions and take a tour!). Along with this, Brant is heavily involved with being on the Board at the ministry. He is also planning to help with a ministry opportunity that Teen Missions has recently been a part of where they are able to go into our local public schools and share the Gospel.

Mary continues to homeschool Jesse as he is navigating the 5th grade. They enjoy being a part of a local home school group that meets weekly where she volunteers while Jesse goes to his classes. This school year, Jesse has been taking Taekwondo, Cooking, Spanish, Creative Writing and Painting. He also has been doing online drum lessons. In addition to homeschooling, Mary helps with the onboarding of new staff at Teen Missions, editing overseas reports from our bases around the world and other editing as needed.

Allison is in her second term at Sojourner School of Ministry. She seems to really enjoy it and has already grown so much. Allison is able to help lead music during Chapel some mornings, and works in the afternoon in the Administration department.

Jonathan is about halfway through his junior year at Merritt Island Christian School and continues to work at Jimmy John’s restaurant, as well as keep the lawns cut of several staff members on Heavenly Street. He is doing well with his studies, and is really looking forward to summer!

Annabelle has been working full time at Chick-fil-a in Manning, SC, and is very busy getting wedding plans put together and doing all the things a bride-to-be enjoys. Mary has been able to make trips to South Carolina to attend her bridal showers and go along with Annabelle as she had her bridal portraits taken in Charleston.

Coming Up Next

Our next big event is Annabelle getting married! This special day is coming quickly, on March 7. We will be excited to welcome her fiance, Joshua Planty, officially to our family! Please be praying that all the preparations come together, and for Josh and Annabelle as they will be starting their new life. They will be living in North Charleston, SC.

A couple weeks after Ananbelle’s wedding, Jonathan will be going on a Spring Break team with Teen Missions to Yonkers, New York. They will be doing renovations at a church where they will also be staying and are also planning to have ministry opportunities.

Jesse is starting his third season playing Little League baseball in Merritt Island. Practice starts in February, and the season ends around the beginning of May.

Mary will be teaching a Grammar class at the Sojourner School starting at the end of March for the Spring term, which she is really excited about. Towards the end of April, Mary will have the opportunity to go on a mission trip with Refuge 139 to West Asia. This will be her second time going to West Asia, and her fourth trip with this ministry. During this trip she, along with the rest of the team, will be working with missionary kids doing a Vacation Bible School type program while their parents are attending a conference.

Summer plans are also underway for most of us.

Allison is currently assigned to serve as an assistant leader with Teen Missions to Taiwan. Their team will be helping facilitate an English camp for Taiwanese children, building relationships while teaching and sharing God’s love through fun and interactive lessons. They’ll also serve on a local farm, lending a hand with daily tasks and learning about rural life in Taiwan. In addition, the team will have opportunities for outreach in nearby mountain villages.

Jonathan has signed up to be a team member with Teen Missions to Paraguay. Their team will help begin construction on the new Teen Missions property in Paraguay, working on building projects such as a kitchen, latrines and more. This is an exciting opportunity to lay the foundation for a property that will serve the ministry for years to come. In addition to the construction work, the team will have opportunities to participate in children’s ministry and community outreach.

Brant & Mary, along with Jesse are currently assigned to lead a team to the Philippines. Their team will serve at the Teen Missions base in the Philippines through vital construction projects and meaningful community evangelism. They will help build a Bible school dormitory and a staff housing building, and time permitting, continue work on the property’s concrete driveway. Beyond the construction, the team will have several opportunities to share the Gospel through house-to-house outreach and Sunday School programs.

Prayer Requests:

It seems like we are constantly in a busy season, but we are blessed to have the many opportunities in our family and ministry life to serve the Lord. We would love for you to join us in prayer for the following:

For us as we serve in Florida

For good health and safety as we do ministry and travel

Wisdom in decisions we make each day

Guidance as we seek Him in each step we take

For the ministry as a whole as we prepare for the Spring and Summer trips

For funds to come together for Jonathan’s Spring Break trip and our summer teams

For the Lord to lead teens to sign up for our Teen Missions trips

For each team to have adequate leaders needed

If you would like to contribute to our upcoming trips, please see the links below. You can also go to www.teenmissions.org, click on “Give” and then “Trip Sponsor” and search for Allison Lane, Jonathan Lane., or Jesse L. to contribute. Any funds given toward our Philippines trip will go towards Jesse’s cost as a leader’s kid. You can also call or email us with any questions.

Thank you for your faithful partnership as we serve at Teen Missions International. You are a great blessing to our family. We love you, and we look forward to sharing more with you soon.

God Bless,

    Brant & Mary Lane
