Brumbelow Newsletter (Fall 2025)

Dearest Supporters,

Praying that you each are doing well!

Summer Update:

As mentioned in previous newsletters and updates, I was not placed as a leader this year on a summer team. Instead, I stayed in Florida on summer staff and helped with a lot of the behind-the-scenes things. I was able to help with our annual Missions Conference, music classes, airport pickups for the teams, proofing and posting team reports on social media, and more. It was interesting to see this side of the ministry and see all that goes into making the summer ministry a possibility. We praise the Lord for each of the teams that were sent out around the world—for the safety, good health, and growth the Lord provided. You can read all about these teams on our website www.teenmissions.org or you can visit our social media to see pictures and watch testimonial videos!

Vacation/Deputation Time:

After our summer program wrapped up, I was blessed to travel to Colorado for some vacation time and a good friend's wedding! The nine days there were so much fun, and it was such a blessing to see all of the beautiful sights Colorado has to offer. Then I traveled to Georgia to see my family, which is always a wonderful time. After a week there, I traveled back to Florida and jumped back into the swing of things.

Work & School:

Things at work are going well! It's a busy time of year, but a good one. As I write this report, we're preparing for our new students' arrival. Monday, the 8th of September, we welcomed 11 new students to Sojourner School of Ministry! They joined our 10 second year students, making for 21 in total! What a blessing! This is the largest the school has been in several years, and we're so grateful to the Lord for calling these students here.

This term, I'll be teaching again and I'm so excited. I'll be teaching our Christian Evidences course, and I'm looking forward to being in the classroom again.

We've also recently sent out six interns from FL to serve around the world—two in South America, one in Central America, and three in Africa. I'm so excited for them as they begin this new chapter and would appreciate your prayers for them, for safety, good health, and for them to be open for all that God will do in and through them.

Upcoming:

This month (September), we will all come together as staff and students of Teen Missions for our annual Staff Retreat. This is a time for us to discuss the past year, and especially the summer program. It's a good time for discussion, but also fun!

In October I'm looking forward to being able to travel to Mexico for a good friends' wedding!

In November it will be time for the Sojourner School's annual ministry trip. I, along with my 21 students, will travel to the TMI base in Honduras. We'll be there for 10 days and will work to help the base in many different ways. The area where we will be serving is more remote, and in need of the Gospel of Christ. Please come alongside us in prayer as we prepare for this trip.

  1. For the funds needed to be raised for each of us to go, roughly around $1,200 per person.

  2. For safety as we go. For a portion of our trip we will travel by boat to where we are staying.

  3. For the Lord to prepare our hearts to go, and for Him to be working in the hearts and lives of those we will meet.

In December, after work and the school term wraps up, I'll go back to Georgia for Christmas which I'm looking forward to as always.

Finances:

I'm continuing to look and pray for more monthly or one-time supporters, as I still haven’t reached my budget goal of $1,600 a month. I'm looking to add an additional $400-$500 a month. If you or someone you know is interested in partnering with me through the ministry of Teen Missions, please follow this link: https://teenmissions.org/missionary/brumbelow, or contact me directly at [email protected]. A HUGE thank you to each of you who support me financially and prayerfully. You each are such a blessing and encouragement to me! May the Lord bless you!

Prayer Requests:

  • For a continued increase in financial support to reach my budgeted goal.

  • That I would continue growing in my walk with the Lord, and desire to know Him more every day. That I would be intentional in my devotional time.

  • As I continue to coordinate the Bible school and our overseas interns, that I may have wisdom and that I would lead with love and kindness.

  • For good health. This summer I struggled with pretty bad migraines, more than is normal for me. I was able to be put on some medication which is helping. Please pray that these will stay at bay and will not be so frequent.

  • For the worldwide ministry of TMI—in all that is said and done, God may be glorified.

If you would be interested in being added to my PrayVine, a place where I post more frequent prayer requests, please let me know and I can add your email!

Thank you all for taking the time to read this update! I'm so thankful for each of you. Please know that I'm praying for you guys!

Much love and many blessings,

Emily
