Chaffee Newsletter (Fall 2025)
“Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
Ephesians 3:20-21
Hello Loved Ones!
Life has been speeding past us and we’re eager to bring you along on this journey!
Personal Involvement
This Boot Camp and summer zipped past like a flash! There was a unified spirit throughout the camp and the classes went great. Along with serving at the security tent, assisting in the “Keep It Clean” class, and being on front camera some of the evenings during Boot Camp, I also got to help with the youth who had Special Blessings to serve in their free time.
After the teams were off to share Christ with the world, we were kept busy clearing more trails on the property for our Legacy Lakes Retreat Center and preparing the base for Debrief, where I had the privilege of helping teach the “Don't Leave Your Armor on the Field” class. I also got to go with the teams in the first Debrief to a local waterpark. At the water park, it began to rain. While it was raining, the kids took cover under some overhangs, but as the rain continued to fall the kids went out into the rain and sang worship songs and witnessed to the workers at the water park. It was a beautiful scene and very encouraging to see how the youth used what they learned this summer back here in the United States.
Teen Testimony
Cora from the Uganda team this last summer expressed, “Hello! This is Cora. Yesterday our team held our very last clinic in Uganda. Each person that I was able to treat, I also had the privilege of praying for. One man in particular had a prayer request that especially stuck out to me, and I am sure that he would greatly appreciate all the prayers he can get. When I asked him if he needed prayer for anything in particular he said yes and shared that his wife was demon possessed. He explained that he was a Christian. I can’t imagine how difficult this must be. I then prayed for him, and asked God to do a mighty work in his wife’s life and rid her of these demons. After praying I looked up to see tears in his eyes. Please pray for this man and his wife, and that the Lord would do a mighty work in both of their lives.”
Madagascar Testimony
Celinah from Vangaindrano shared how God transformed her life: healing her from recurring illness and a heart condition, and helping her overcome struggles with learning and self-doubt. Today, she walks in freedom, growth, and purpose. All glory to God!
Family
On the morning of July 10th, Christi’s labor began so we headed to the hospital, only to be sent home. An hour later after a quick and unexpected home birth, we welcomed sweet Annalise into the world. Thankfully, by God’s grace, Christi’s sister, who is a paramedic, was visiting from out of state at the time to help watch our other children. Since Annalise arrived faster than the EMS arrived, Christi’s sister delivered her.
Annalise is a joyful girl who has already begun cooing and propelling herself by pushing her feet against surfaces while laying on her back.
Oliver is our snuggle bug! He loves to run up to us and wrap his cute arms around our legs for “huggies” as he calls them. He also loves to be outdoors and adores his little sister, Annalise. He’ll hold his arms out to us when we have her, indicating to us, he’d like to hold her and he's definitely proud when he gets what he wants. Both Allister and Oliver like to take turns kissing her and ensuring she has a “blankie”.
Allister and Oliver both enjoy my armor. Like father, like sons. They will help polish my armor and Allister also loves to dress up as a king in plastic armor while toting his foam sword.
Brielle is helping more in the kitchen and loves the idea that she will be a great cook someday. She is also our brave kiddo who loves to hold bugs and rescue them. When we went to a nature center recently she had an awesome time holding an eastern lubber grasshopper which is common in our area of Florida.
David is growing in creativity and ideas! He will use nearly anything to craft his creations, but cardboard boxes are one of his favorites. He has even created a chest for his treasures.
Rebekah is blossoming into a young lady and is officially a teenager! This summer, she volunteered with the snack department at our church’s Galactic Blast vacation Bible school and she also has a wonderful time baking goodies and cooking.
Thank you to every one of you who have helped our family to bloom in this life-giving ministry!
Praise and Prayer Requests
- Praise for Christi’s and Annalise's health throughout the pregnancy and delivery!
-Praise that Allister's blood glucose continues trending toward a healthier range! He is considered to be in range around 47% of the time, which is around 2-3 times more frequent than other children his age range at the pediatric endocrinologist he goes to. His A1C remained around 7.1% among his last 2 visits over about a six-month time span and we’re hoping to see it below 7%. We’re almost there, but also hoping we could get him to be in range even greater than 47% of the time.
-Praise as my vertigo normally seems to be decreasing! Lord willing, it continues to simmer down.
-Pray for our van situation! Some repairs were made but some issues with both vans still remain, making them unreliable, but prayer would be great that the remaining repairs will happen in a timely manner on our main family van to keep it running smoothly for years to come.
- Pray as we are looking to share the life-changing ministry of Teen Missions. It would also be helpful for us to increase our financial support, especially monthly. If you live in Florida, we would still love to schedule a time to meet with you or a group you’re part of to share more on the ministry. If you’re interested, please reach out and Lord-willing, I’ll get to connect with you!
-Pray for me as I was diagnosed with asthma and I’ve been sensitive to extended heat exposure.
-Pray for Christi and me to have wisdom in the choices we make for our family.
-Pray for Christi and me to continue adjusting our schedules with all we’re involved with.
-Pray for Christi as she homeschools Rebekah, David, and Brielle this year.
-Pray for our children to be thirsty to learn and accomplish their tasks with an eager enthusiasm.
-Pray for our kids to be supportive in the way they behave towards others.
-Pray for David to practice calming techniques he learned during behavioral counseling—especially when he faces challenging times.
-Pray for Annalise as she has very bad acid reflux. She takes a prescription and probiotic that helps, but it doesn't eliminate all of her discomfort.
-Pray for God’s peace in our lives.
-Pray for our safety in all things.
