Decker Newsletter (2026 Spring)
This spring has been busy! My time in Idaho and Oregon for a delayed Christmas break was a lot of fun and it was a great time to relax before getting into this spring.
After that trip, I jumped right back into the thick of it. This spring has been full of a lot of phone calls and emails to parents about airline ticketing and processing the last team members for 2026. In addition to finishing things for 2026, I was asked to participate in Teen Missions’ first ever livestream for revealing the next year's teams. Right now we have 16 teams planned for 2027 and we are very excited about what God has in store!
Our Taiwan team was cancelled, and now I am going to Italy! I am very excited for this team, going to Europe, and our project, which largely is furthering Teen Missions’ presence in Italy which is a very unique opportunity.
One of my responsibilities is taking food that TMI gets to a local food pantry once a week. It's a pretty fun responsibility and I enjoy getting to know people that serve at the food pantry. Sometimes it's not a whole lot, but lately it's been very full truck loads! Sometimes I can barely pack it all in to deliver it.
I am proud to announce that I am engaged! My fiancée’s name is Abigail Hurlbert. We met at Teen Missions a few years ago, started our relationship in September, and now are planning on getting married this fall. I am so incredibly humbled and blessed to have Abigail in my life and we are very excited to join our lives together!
I have also been blessed with my church’s young adults group. It is not very big, but the young adult pastor and his wife are great people and I am enjoying getting to know everyone.
Thank you all for your continued prayers and support. I could not do any of this without you!
Blessings,
Ethan Decker
