Evan Newsletter (2026 Spring)

Hello Family, Friends and Supporters,

I hope everyone is well.  In March, I, along with a friend, Loretta Smith, got the opportunity to go with Samaritan’s Purse to Corinth, MS to help them after they had damage from a winter storm. They had a lot of trees down, so we were able to move them to the street. But the work is not the whole reason why we do it. We are blessed to be able to talk/listen to the homeowners and to share the Gospel. 

The summer time is coming; the Big Top is up and the Mud Run is done. The Mud Run had a great turn out with 715 runners. This year was different as I ended up handing out t-shirts. It was nice doing something different, but I think I missed being on the course. The money that was raised from this will be going overseas to help those in need. 

This summer, I will not be leading a team. I will be on the Launch Team; the team that stays back to keep up with the office and yard work and getting ready for three Debriefs. This year we seem to have a good size team that will be staying back as there are three couples that are expecting babies this summer, so the husbands will be in and out. I’m looking forward to the summer ministry, seeing all the kids and leaders and the rally time. 

After the summer, I have the opportunity to volunteer with Samaritan's Purse in North Carolina for a week to help them with rebuilding a house that had been damaged in the hurricane. I'm looking forward to doing this. 

I cannot do this on my own strength; it is God working through me!! And I could not do it without prayer or financial support. Thank you so much!!!
