Evans Newsletter (Fall 2025)

Hey Family and Friends,

We're back in the office and winding down from a busy summer! Right now, we're focusing on cleaning up, filing paperwork, and getting everything in place to begin registering kids for the 2026 teams.

One of my main responsibilities is managing our database—making sure all mailing addresses are up-to-date so our newsletters reach the right people. I also make sure that donations are entered correctly.

This past year, we've been blessed to have a student working in the finance office. She’s been a big help and is now starting her second year. We’re excited to welcome a new student who will begin helping with the database as well.

Summer Missions Trip to Bolivia – 2025

This summer, I had the privilege of traveling to Bolivia with a team of 14 teens—12 boys and two girls—along with four other leaders and three leader kids. It was an awesome experience, full of hard work, great conversations, and lots of growth.

One of my main roles was helping in the kitchen, where I also got to work with two different team members each day on KP (kitchen patrol). This gave me a great opportunity to connect more personally with the teens and have deeper conversations during our prep times.

Our main project was beginning construction on a new classroom building. We started by clearing the land of stumps, then moved on to digging 12 holes—each five feet deep—for the foundation. The team learned how to tie steel rebar and prepare it for the concrete posts. It was tough, physical work, but everyone gave their best and worked hard together as a team.

On the weekends, we shifted our focus to evangelism. Sometimes we had to split into smaller groups, but the kids did an amazing job sharing the Gospel, playing soccer with local youth, and engaging younger kids with games (like Duck Duck Goose), face painting, and simple Spanish conversations. It was great to see them step out of their comfort zones and genuinely love the people we met.

Overall, it was a summer full of impact—both for the people we served and for our team. I'm grateful for the experience and everything we learned along the way.

When you receive this newsletter, I’ll be on a road trip to connect with supporters and raise my support level, which has dropped a bit recently.
I’ll be spending about five days in North Carolina before heading up to Pennsylvania, where I’ll be for about a week. There is a possibility I will be heading to Michigan too. I’m also looking for more opportunities to share with individuals, churches, or groups along the way. If you or someone you know would be open to hearing more about the ministry, please let me know.

Prayer Requests:

  • Safe travels and good health throughout the trip

  • Open doors for meaningful conversations and new support connections

  • Encouragement and rest during this season

  • Provision for the financial needs of the ministry

  • Wisdom and discernment as I share with others
