Holschen Newsletter (2026 Spring)
Karly, Esther and I (Caleb) have had a busy, but incredible start to the year, though it still had some sad moments. It was with heavy hearts that we learned of Karly’s grandmother Miriam’s, or Mimi as she was known, death in early April. We were able to get flights to Houston for the memorial service and celebrate her life with friends and family. In the midst of all of this, though, we hold to our blessed assurance that we will see her again in Glory!
Karly was the race coordinator for this year’s annual Tough Gator 5K Mud Run fundraiser for Teen Missions overseas ministries. The leadup to the event was very stressful for her, but in the end it all worked out. We had much more turnout than we anticipated and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive. It came and went, but the impact that the $40,000 raised will have overseas will be eternal. Thank the Lord for His unending faithfulness!
As of now, I have been hard at work setting up the technical side of our Boot Camp live stream— lights, sound, cordage, etc. Karly comes into the office on Tuesday afternoons to help pack bags of supplies that our teams will take to our overseas bases this summer. Esther has been growing so fast we can hardly keep up! She can run around and play with the big kids, and even got her first word out—water!
Our family is in the time of life where all of our friends are getting married and having kids. I was honored to be a groomsman in a wedding in Taylor, Texas. Marriage is a beautiful thing, and we were so blessed to be a part of the young couple’s start to their new life together!
Thank you so much for your prayers and support! None of our ministry would be possible without it.
Praying for you,
The Holschens
