Jansma Newsletter (2026 Spring)

This spring, we had the opportunity to co-lead a team of 19 teens to Yonkers, New York. Our week there was a tremendous blessing to the community, our team, and our family as first-time leaders. Through evangelism opportunities, work projects, and daily discipleship, we saw the Lord work in many ways.

One especially meaningful moment came during an evangelism discussion when Russ asked everyone to shout out their favorite burger joint. The teens enthusiastically responded, and Russ pointed out to them that they just witnessed to everyone in the room about a burger joint, and that witnessing about Jesus should be just as natural and simple. It was a powerful reminder that the Gospel does not depend on “lofty speech” (1 Corinthians 2:1–5), but on the Lord working through willing hearts.

Using bracelets as conversation starters, our team was able to have around 80 Gospel-centered conversations throughout the week.

We were also able to participate in this year’s TMI Tough Gator Mud Run, an exciting community outreach event with over 700 registrations. Through the event, 26 people surrendered their lives to Christ, and funds were raised to support ministry needs overseas.

Summer trips are upon us—here we go! Russ and I will be leading a team of 16 teens to Peru, Case will be serving in Indonesia with a team of 10, and Cavan is heading to Madagascar with a team of 20! We are excited to see all the ways the Lord will work this summer. Altogether, TMI Florida is sending 14 teams around the world this summer!

Thank you again for partnering with our family through prayer, encouragement, and support. We are grateful for the many ways the Lord continues to work, and we look forward to all He has in store this summer. Please continue praying that Christ would be glorified in all we do.
