Joel & Emma Tauscher Newsletter (Winter 2025)
You probably wouldn’t believe me if I told you that right now Teen Missions has more teens on summer mission trips than at any other time of the year. Our winter happens to be other countries’ summer, depending on what hemisphere they’re in. That means in the past few months Teen Missions has had thousands of teens serving communities in 12 countries. All around the world God is working in and through Generation Z.
Recently I have been watching God work in a group of young adults through Sojourner School of Ministry. This term I am serving as the Ethics teacher. It’s a challenging course as I facilitate discussions on difficult topics, with the goal of helping my students discern morality and their own convictions. I am so enjoying teaching this class and it has become a highlight of my work week!
Besides teaching, I have been busy working on marketing. I have an awesome team that has been working on social media, the website and printed materials. In our last newsletter I talked about my involvement in the Feed Zambia Now campaign. Praise the Lord that over $120,000 was raised to help those who are facing food insecurity due to a drought!
Joel has taken a step back from a lot of the manual labor he was doing previously due to the discovery of a herniated disc. We are praising God that we finally found the source of his back pain and are hoping that physical therapy will help. Instead of doing lawn maintenance, he has been working on creating schedules, project estimates and small engine repair for the Maintenance Department.
A few months ago we were blessed by serving at a retirement village that was badly damaged by Hurricane Milton. A small creek nearby rose significantly causing destructive flooding. We spent the day moving water-logged furniture and carpet out of the soggy buildings. Our team of staff were able to help get a large dining area cleared for future volunteers to stay as they continue the clean up.
As always we are incredibly grateful for your prayers and partnership. We are only able to continue serving here because of our faithful team who partners with us in prayer and monthly giving. Thank you!
Prayer Requests:
Please pray that Joel’s back would improve with physical therapy.
Please pray for us to be filled with God’s Spirit and grow in our relationship with Christ.
Please pray for us to be faithful in our devotions time.
Please pray that God would send people into our lives who don’t know Him.
In Christ,
Joel & Emma Tauscher
“Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.”
