Kostner Newsletter (2026 Spring)

We have been home a week and we are slowly adjusting to the time difference. What a blessing it was to serve at this Boot Camp in SE Asia! There are 65 team members and 16 leaders who are now serving on four teams. Paul taught the steel-tying class; I monitored devotions and we both judged part of the Obstacle Course. And in the “in between” time, we thoroughly enjoyed interacting with the team members, leaders, staff and students. We met many former team members from when we were there in 1992-1994 and that was a blessing. What was my “takeaway”? Seeing how they practiced servanthood was convicting, as I realized how much I am lacking in that area. What an encouragement it was to witness the fruit of their servanthood!

This summer we are headed to Madagascar. We have 19 team members —seven girls and 12 boys along with four other leaders. We will continue to work on a staff house and be involved in their Sunday school ministry with local children. We are so excited!
