Maher Newsletter (2026 Spring)

Happy Spring!

Tom has been busy getting the materials ready for the teams this summer. The Lord has blessed us with a new copy machine for the ministry, which is making things run more smoothly. He’s also been helping out with IT and keeping the database in good shape. Linda wrapped up the audit season recently and had a great time teaching the Book of Acts this term. She loves to inspire the students to be creative and to learn how to apply the life lessons from the scriptures. One project they did was a map of Paul’s missionary journeys, and the results were amazing! They turned in paintings, wood-burning projects, wooden puzzles, clay maps, hand-drawn maps, and even one student who stitched the map. We’ll be part of the Launch Team here in Florida again this summer, and during training, we’ll have lots of responsibilities. Please keep Linda in your prayers as she teaches classes.

Spending time with our grandchildren on the weekends is always a blessing, and we’re so grateful! After three years of waiting, we’re moving into our new place, Lord willing by the time you get this letter! The biggest challenge was getting the permits from the county. We’re moving from a  two-room apartment at the back of the property to a cozy 3-bedroom house at the front. It’s such a blessing! We’ve come to understand that what really matters is family, relationships, and spending time with the Lord.  We can't wait to share the stories of changed-lives after the teens return from their mission trips.

We are constantly amazed by God's goodness.  We are thankful for our children and grandchildren (number 10 is due in June).  We are so grateful for the partnership of our ministry team that supports us both prayerfully and financially.  We are grateful for the wisdom the Lord gives in our daily staff responsibilities.  We consider it such a privilege to serve the Lord in this ministry.  We have seen God faithfully supply needs and open doors.
