Myers Newsletter (2026 Fall)
Summer of 2026 is complete and we are already working on 2027! We had 25+ staff, students and volunteers on the Launch Team (summer staff), and though that seems like a lot, with all the responsibilities, we needed everyone single one of them! Everyone had their special responsibilities and talents, and we are thankful for each one of them and their servant’s hearts! What a great time we had together of prayer and praise every morning. We also did the Bible Study that the teams were doing; Psalms and Proverbs. We welcomed the reports from the teams as they shared how the Lord was using them and how they were blessed. We would put the reports on the web for people to be able to follow the teams. We led three Debriefs, which worked out well. It did make the summer seem a little longer, but we are thankful for the extra time for teams to be on the field helping the missionaries. Many people came to know Christ as well as practical projects were completed. Just being able to talk with leaders, help them through situations, and pray with them was a blessing to us. We are thankful to be able to continue to send teams out in the summer. While in PA in August, we shared at Air Hill Church about the Sunday School program and met with supporters and family. We toured Gettysburg, went to "Sight and Sound", attended a corn festival, and had our fill of corn on the cob! We spent a day at the Little League World Series in Williamsport. What a fun experience! We enjoyed time with Brandon, Brooke and the kids! So many milestones to be a part of. Brandon and Anthony were able to attend a Phillies game. So as you can see, we were busy, but felt like we were able to relax!
We recently had staff conference which included two days of ministry review, at the TMI base, then we drove a few hours to Lake Swan Camp for "play time"! It was relaxing as we shared meals together, did crafts, enjoyed the lake, volleyball and pickleball and played highly competitive games till late at night! Such a fun time together.
Prayer requests: *Shawna’s knee surgery was Sept. 24. Pray for complete healing. *Pray Anthony's two blood clots in his leg will dissolve. *Pray for wisdom in our responsibilities here at the Florida base. *Team members and leaders already signing up for 2027!
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 1 Peter 2:9
