Myers Newsletter (Fall 2025)

I Thes. 5:24  He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it.

SUMMER OF 2025

As we watched the reports come in from the teams this summer, this verse came to mind. We saw the Lord work in so many ways and saw His faithfulness to the teams and those with whom they ministered. It really is a blessing to be on summer staff, which we call the “Launch Team” as we get first-hand reports of what the Lord is doing. There were only 10 staff and four volunteers this year, but we prayed faithfully for each team and the situations they were dealing with. Then we are able to see each one come back to Debrief and minister to them in different ways, to prepare them to go home. Some are going home to difficult situations with family, friends, and their lives have changed.

When the teams returned for First Debrief, they had a fun day at a local water park. While they were there, it started to rain so the team members took cover and sang worship songs and witnessed to the workers at the water park. They were remaining faithful right until the end! We continue to pray that they have a heart to serve the Lord in their communities, schools and churches. They were all unplugged from their phones and social media so that during this time, they are able to focus on the Lord. Some had to haul their water from a lake, some had squatty potties, and they washed their clothes by hand, which made them grateful for the comforts of home. It’s all part of the training here before they go. If you want to read some of the reports or see the pictures, they are still online for a short time at teenmissions.org/trip-reports

Praise the Lord with us for how He used 300 young people and leaders this summer around the world.

2026 TEAMS

We are excited to have three Spring Break teams in March 2026. One will be here at the base in Florida, and the other two will be in New York and Detroit. You can also see the locations of the summer teams that are planned for 2026. We are stepping out in faith and planning for 17 teams. Some will go to our bases, and some will work with other ministries. Locations include Italy, Albania, Guatemala, Honduras, Rwanda, Sweden, Taiwan, Hungary, Malawi, New Zealand, Peru, Indonesia, Madagascar and Zambia. Because of the length of travel involved, some of the teams will be staying a week longer in the country to be able to have more time ministering. So we will be having three Debriefs in a row next summer! You can find the Spring Break and summer teams specific information at teenmissions.org/mission-trips.

FLORIDA AND OVERSEAS MINISTRY UPDATE

At the Florida base, we are rebuilding the staff house by the main gate and have almost completed our new Display Room for sharing with visitors. We are very excited to begin using it as a tool to see many friends and alumni encouraged to pray, give, and go with Teen Missions. We continue to have new staff join us and are thankful for the Jansma family and for Ethan, who have joined us recently. We continue to pray for more laborers.

There were national Boot Camps that ran in Cameroon, Italy, Madagascar, Mexico, four in Malawi, two in the Philippines and six in a Creative Access country in Asia. In the next few months Boot Camps will run in Australia, Honduras, S. Africa, Tanzania (3) Uganda (2), and Zambia (4). Last year there were over 3,000 young people and leaders involved during the summer and winter!

We appreciate your prayers for us and for all the aspects of the Teen Missions ministry. Prayer is vital to this ministry. We have a monthly prayer calendar for praying for the overseas staff and ministries. You can sign up for the PrayerApp or go to teenmissions.org/pray. We value your prayers to keep this ministry fruitful and pray for the Lord’s guidance.

Anthony and the TMI President, Steve Petersen will be taking a trip to Asia at the end of October to visit some bases there. Pray for wisdom and open doors.

GROWING FAMILY

So many exciting things are happening with our family! We have a granddaughter on the way and a new daughter-in-law!

On September 22, Darin married Maddie, a wonderful helpmate for him. He met Maddie at Geneva College. She is from Colorado Springs, so we all went there for the wedding. It was beautiful and so special to see how many friends and family from Florida, Texas, Pennsylvania and Canada, attended the wedding. They are loved! It was great to have my brothers and sister-in-laws come from Winnipeg and Toronto to meet some of our family for the first time. Even amid the Air Canada strike, the Lord provided a way. Darin and Maddie now live in Orlando, and it is nice to know that they are settling in and are close by. Maddie is a nurse, and Darin works with a wonderful accounting firm that works only with non-profits.

Baby Girl Myers will be arriving at the beginning of December! Brandon and Brooke will add to their quiver which will then include three girls and a boy. Guess we will see for sure in December! They are all doing well and we plan to visit them in October. We will be with Anthony’s parents during that time too, and Anthony will be sharing at Air Hill church on September 28. If you are in the area, we’d love to see you.

Jessie, John, Raelynn and Elias are doing well in Texas. Raelynn is enjoying preschool and Elias will be one in October, so we are looking forward to celebrating with them. In Korean culture, the first birthday is very special. We appreciate those who pray for Jessie as she is still working with Mercy Ships.

Anthony’s iron levels have been up. He felt pretty good most of the busy summer. I have been doing well, just the usual aches and pains, but the Lord is giving us good health and strength to continue serving. We are so thankful!

We are overwhelmed with the love and encouragement shown to our family in many ways and are blessed to be serving the Lord here. We appreciate those who stand with us and provide through your support and prayers. We pray for you and your families, that God will give you wisdom and guidance as you continue to live daily for Him.
