Phippen Newsletter (Fall 2025)

Throughout the course of the last few months countless lives have been changed through Christ and His Gospel. In love, as staff at Teen Missions(TMI) we seek to declare the glory of God to all who would hear. I hope you are blessed as you read and remember that “the LORD is good”. 

Teen Missions Mexico

Over 200 teens were trained to share their faith through TMI in Florida this summer. Eight of them went with Emily and me to Mexico on a team designed to train leaders and run a Boot Camp in Mexico (look at the back of this newsletter to learn more!). Each of these teens grew in their faith and obedience to Christ as they learned to serve others in unexpected ways. God was good to our team and allowed us to be part of something bigger than eight people could accomplish. We were part of Mexican teens coming to Christ, being discipled, baptized, and returning to their homes to tell others what God had done in their lives. The Lord is faithful to all generations! 

Emily and I spent seven weeks with Andrew, Evan, Benjamin, Micah, Peyton, Cory, Lilly, and Fiona. These eight became part of our family during this time and God did great work in their lives! The love that God shows us, the love that He pours into our hearts as His children, is to be shared with others. This is one of the primary examples we see in Christ and His relationship with His disciples— His love for them. We are grateful that God entrusted Emily and me with the gift of pouring His love into the lives of these teenagers. 

African Summit 

I am currently overseeing Teen Missions operations in 20 countries. Seven of these countries are in Africa. A Teen Missions Country Coordinator leads each country. The mission of TMI is to inspire and equip a new generation to boldly proclaim salvation in Christ alone. At the beginning of October Emily and I are traveling together to Zambia, Africa to be involved in an African Summit for TMI. This will be an important time of training for all of the Country Coordinators in Africa. This will be our first time back to Africa since we moved to Florida at the end of 2022. Our kids will be staying home and one of Emily’s sisters will take care of them while we are away. The plans, and direction that we begin to move after this Summit will help to set the course for growth across more of Africa.

Your prayers, letters, and financial support are essential to the ministry God is doing through us.  Your dedication to making a difference in the lives of young people around the world is truly remarkable.

    2. Pray for God to prepare Emily and me for the African Summit in Zambia in October.

    3. Pray that our family would remember God’s faithfulness every day.
