Shonn & Lori Foy Newsletter (Winter 2026)
This year has definitely been filled with challenges and blessings! God is GOOD!
In March this year, we received a very special blessing – our 9th grandchild, Griffin Atticus, was born to Erinn and Ryan. In November, a long-awaited prayer was answered when we welcomed our 10th grandchild, Moriah Grace, officially into the Foy family! We are so happy for Jesse, Ema, Emmaus, Silas, and Simon! What a blessing grandchildren are!
In mid-November, we decided to move to Indiana with the rest of our belongings. We will continue to work full-time remotely for TMI. It will be more manageable to have only one home and to manage Shonn’s health issues in just one state! On our trip North, we were able to visit friends, Margie and Jerry, in Savannah, and share the ministry of TMI in their Sunday School class.
Our ministry focus in November and December was Giving Tuesday and the end-of-year campaign. We are looking forward to how we can raise ministry partners for Teen Missions in 2026!
We made it to Indiana just in time to host Thanksgiving with some of our family. Erinn, Ryan, Oliver, and Griffin were here, and some of Shonn’s siblings joined us for a delicious meal. Shane, Jodie, and Quinley came from TN, but that weekend, Jodie tragically lost her sweet Mama. We were able to get to TN for the memorial.
The following week, Katie, Chris, Piper, Theo, and Callahan visited from CO. Though some of us caught a nasty cold, we loved having them! ‘Tis the season!
We had a quiet Christmas this year. We enjoyed hosting Shonn’s siblings–everyone contributed. Most of our kids were with their spouses’ families this year. Our family was spread out in five different states! This year, we gave the kids and grandkids family experiences for Christmas. We are happy to know that they will enjoy fun family outings at zoos and museums in 2026! We hope to experience it with them when we visit.
We planned to head to Florida in January to plan our 2026 fundraising year, but Shonn’s mom was not doing well, so we decided to stay in Indiana to be close to her and continued to work remotely. We’re thankful we did, because she met Jesus on January 17th. We are thankful for the HOPE of Heaven! We lost two people we loved this year, so Heaven will be sweeter.
Our Florida return has been delayed once again, but this time, it was the weather. We received about 13” of snow on January 17/18th!
Thank you for your love and prayers! We really appreciate your care and concern for us.
In His Service,
Psalm 103:1-5
