Steve & Gay Petersen Newsletter (2026 Spring)
OVERSEAS BOOT CAMPS — We have seen six overseas Boot Camps running this Spring, one in Zambia and five in Southeast Asia. What a joy to see 29 teams trained, inspired, and equipped to share the Good News through work and evangelism projects. Over 500 teens and leaders witnessed over 600 make a profession of faith. Preparations are also underway for the second annual Italy Boot Camp and the first-ever Paraguay Boot Camp. To God be the Glory!
2026 TOUGH GATOR 5K MUD RUN — Our most successful Mud Run yet! Twenty-six decisions for Christ reported! PTL. We saw 715 runners (763 Paid) and over $40,000 raised in Net Proceeds for urgent mercy ministries, including food, medicine, and disaster relief.
GEARING UP FOR OUR 2026 TEAMS — In a few weeks, our leaders and teens will be arriving for training at the Lord’s Boot Camp! Our Big Top is up, and our staff and students can’t wait! (It’s like the horses at the Kentucky Derby, charged with excitement, waiting for the gates to bust open!)
FAMILY UPDATES — Steve has enjoyed teaching the Major Prophets this term at Sojourner School of Ministry. Miss Gay is working to furnish our new Caretaker building (almost finished) with used goods and deals from local sellers. Timothy & Ellie are expecting their first baby in a few weeks! Faith is now back from her internship in Colombia and is preparing to serve as a leader this summer in the Philippines. Doug & Barb Petersen have faced several health challenges this year. They continue to minister encouragement, prayer, and love to both their family and co-laborers here at TMI.
FEEDING the MULTITUDE — Pray for Miss Gay as she steps into the role of managing the Boot Camp kitchen. God has assembled a talented team of staff and volunteers to surround her as each meal is prepared with love. Intercede for strength, wisdom, and great communication.
