Steve & Gay Petersen Newsletter (Winter 2026)

Dear Friends and Family,

What an encouragement we have as we begin the New Year from God’s Word! Let us not be weary in doing good! Many times, after much ‘planting seed’ we must wait to see how and when God will bring the growth.

FALL/WINTER TRAVELS, TRAINING, AND DEVELOPMENT

It was a busy season of travel as we held the African Summit in Zambia, where our country leaders all assembled for a time of fellowship, training, and encouragement.  I also attended some important partnership meetings in Colombia together with my dear friend Curt Bitterman, our Senior Vice President and our amazing Colombian staff.  I also traveled to Southeast Asia with Anthony Myers, where we evaluated our strategies and the leadership structure.

WHAT’S HAPPENING HERE

Our long-awaited display room, the Hall of Faith is now open for tours thanks to the talents of many staff and volunteers!  We also held our first fundraising banquet, or ‘Gala’, thanks to our dear partners at Third World Missions (TWM).

After Christmas, Gay and I traveled up the East Coast to strengthen partnerships, share about ministry opportunities overseas, and thank our donors and prayer partners, without whom the work around the world would not continue! We also got stuck in the huge snowstorm and sheltered with the amazing Yehs north of Boston.

PETERSEN FAMILY UPDATE

Gay is scheduled to have meniscus surgery on her left knee on February 19th.  In addition to her support during my travels, she continues her work in HR and in organizing training for onboarding staff.

I hope to stay close to home this spring and work on curriculum development for our summer Bible studies (Psalms & Proverbs) and also prepare for teaching Major Prophets in the Sojourner Bible School.

Faith  is continuing her internship in Colombia with many stories to share. She is also raising support as a backup leader on a summer team to the Philippines.

We are excited to announce that Timothy and Ellie are expecting their first child, a boy, our first grandchild!

We are so thankful for the privilege of partnering with you in the Lord's Harvest.
