The Build Up to Another Summer of Ministry

The feeling and the anticipation of a summer at Teen Missions doesn’t ever get old. One month away from around 215 team members embarking on a summer that, Lord willing, they will never forget. The teams' tent sites are getting cleared, team rosters are finalized, and flights are booked. The excitement increases as each day passes. It always amazes me how God can work through all the different roles of people to impact His Kingdom. He doesn’t have to use us, but He chooses to. He equips the Called, and we are blessed to be a part of what He is doing. That is a reminder our family is consistently encouraged by as we serve here. 

What’s up next for the Petersens? 

This summer, we will not be leading one of the 14 teams going out as we are expecting our son’s arrival! Ellie and little man have been blessed with amazing health as we near the June 24 due date. Ellie is nearing the end of her time in the office as she transitions to full-time mom. She’s both excited about this new adventure but also pumped to see new staff take over some of her responsibilities with the Volunteer Dept and TMI’s Legacy Lakes Retreat Center. 

We are looking forward to playing the role of encourager for the staff and leaders who will be with the teams this summer. It will be something new and we can’t wait to hear the many great reports of the Lord's goodness from around the world.

The Lord has brought in around 73% of our $3500 budget goal through our generous monthly supporters. We give God the praise for answering our prayers and providing the finances so that we may be in this work.
