Greetings from Boot Camp!
Every one of the team members has been participating, growing, and learning a lot. Yesterday (Sunday), all of the teams made their way to the back of the property to the big lake for our Galilean service. Again, there was beautiful weather and an incredible sunrise.
Our team is so unified and joyful—it is unbelievable! They are doing so well sticking together as a team during the Obstacle Course. They are doing so well that they wait for the whole team in places where they need to keep it moving. Another evident thing is that this team is full of passionate worshipers. It blesses my heart to see.
There have been no injuries on the team thus far, praise the Lord! There have been minimal blisters and a few heat rashes, but that is the most we have had to take care of.
Some classes that our team has taken so far include: Concrete, Carpentry, Sunday School Ministry (SSM), Evangelism, and a few miscellaneous Bible hours. I can truly say that this team encourages my heart and blesses me every day! They hardly ever complain (which is saying something, considering the conditions), and they are wonderful at rallying around one another and being uplifting.
A little fun moment from our team: We had a Carpentry class last week. During this class, the team built a small table, a footstool, a cup holder, and a large letter "A" for Australia. Of course, these creations are not the most solid, but they have held together thus far! :)
Be encouraged, and know your teenagers are doing well here in Merritt Island!
