Two More Days!

The team has successfully completed their training and is ready for Madagascar! Yesterday marked our final Obstacle Course (OC), and we're excited to share that we earned a first-place finish. The team performed exceptionally well throughout Boot Camp, winning every OC except two. Their teamwork, determination, and positive attitude have been incredible to watch. This past week included classes in Drama, Puppets, Carpentry, and Concrete, giving the team valuable skills they will use on the mission field. We also spent time helping dismantle the Boot Camp office and assisting with other projects around the campus. The weather has remained hot and humid, with a few periods of heavy rain. Thankfully, our tents stayed mostly dry. Tomorrow we'll take down our tents, pack our gear, and move into air-conditioned dorms for one night before beginning our journey to Madagascar. Following our Commissioning service, we'll enjoy a short celebration before helping take down the stage and lighting and getting some much-needed rest. On Sunday, we'll finish packing and, after dinner, board our bus to Orlando International Airport. The excitement is building as we prepare to begin this next chapter! Team members will make a brief phone call to their parents on Sunday evening or Monday morning. Please pray for: Dry weather as we finish packing and breaking camp. Health, safety, and smooth travel throughout our journey. Opportunities to share the Gospel with those we meet along the way. Once we arrive in Madagascar, we will notify the office of our safe arrival. We will spend two nights in the capital city of Antananarivo while waiting for our connecting flight to our project site in Mahajanga. We will also let the office know when we arrive there. Thank you for your continued prayers and support. We are excited to see how God will work through this team in the days ahead!

Last year, I loved TMI for what God taught me. This year, God has taught me a lot too. One big thing is how great He is and how small I am. This goes along with humility which I have a hard time doing. I am so excited about what else He has in store for me this summer. -Caleb K.

Throughout my last two years on TMI teams, I have found comfort in success on the Obstacle Course, in Music and Drama classes and getting to know new people that I will eventually grow close to. With the challenges that Boot Camp brings, I can confidently state that I find refuge in the powerful worship in the evenings at the rallies. Boot Camp has helped me form impactful friendships and grow in my faith. I am excited to see where God leads me this summer. - Sydney T.

I am loving Boot Camp and Teen Missions! We have been learning many valuable skills like construction, team building, drama and all about other cultures and countries. Our team is AMAZING and I am just getting more excited! We are having a lot of fun together and already we feel like a family. It has been sticky, but the frequent showers cool the Boot Camp air significantly. I am very grateful God has brought us all here and for our leaders. All I can say is "Hallelujah". -Ezekiel R.

Hey! Boot Camp has been going so well. I have been learning a lot and growing spiritually. My team is the best. We have been crushing it on the Obstacle Course and I am grateful for how unified we have become. I am so looking forward to the rest of the summer, to grow closer to God and my teammates, bless the people of Madagascar and be strengthened by our Lord and Savior. I feel so thankful for where the Lord has placed me and I cannot wait to see all He does this summer! - Sela T.

The day I arrived at Boot Camp, I was really sure I would not make any friends over the summer, but as Boot Camp wraps up, I can already tell the people on my team are going to be very important people in my life. Before arriving and the first two days, I was very intimidated by what challenges Boot Camp would bring, but the people I am surrounded with and the constant reminders that Christ is with me makes it feel so much easier. The Lord has spoke directly to my heart through the speakers/teachers and the worship has been powerful. Boot Camp has helped me form important friendships and grow in my faith. I am excited to see where God leads me this summer! -Londyn D.
