Amanda Evans Newsletter (Spring 2025)
Dear Friends and Family,
We are so close to the summer. It’s hard to believe that next month we will be meeting the teens who will be going on teams.
These past few months we were very busy getting the property ready for our 9th Annual Tough Gator 5K Mud Run! The Mud Run was held on May 3rd, and we praise God that we had about 630 people run this year which is more than we had last year. When the people come, they always tell us it is one of the best Mud Runs they have participated in. Our really exciting news is that this year we had at least four people accept Jesus as their personal Savior. PRAISE GOD!!
Now that the Mud Run is finished, we can focus a lot more on the upcoming summer.
For the Finance Department that means our minds will be more on the support coming in for the kids. I am also involved in the process of mailing out these newsletters to let our family and friends know what is happening. Another job that I have throughout the year is purchasing supplies, so I’ll be busy making sure all the supplies that we need for the summer are purchased as well.
I’m excited to share that I have the opportunity this summer again to help lead a team to Santa Cruz, Bolivia to serve at the Escuela Técnica Misionera (School of Missions). This is one of Teen Missions newest bases. This trip will be more than just a trip—it’s a life-changing experience of growth, service, and ministry for the teens and the leaders.
Our project for the team will be building new classrooms for the School of Missions. These facilities will equip future national missionaries with the tools they need to share the Gospel throughout South America. Each hammer swung and brick laid is part of a much bigger Kingdom story.
Before heading to Bolivia, we’ll gather in Florida for training. It’s primitive and challenging—designed to stretch the teens physically, spiritually and emotionally. The teens will attend classes in Bible study, evangelism, music, puppetry, drama, and construction skills to prepare for both the work and the evangelism ahead.
While in Bolivia, our days will be filled with both construction and ministry. In addition to building, we’ll share the Gospel through music, puppets and drama. And the team will also engage in Bible studies and will be learning memory verses.
We’re praying for God to use us as His hands and feet—and to do a deep work in our own hearts too.
At the end of the summer, we’ll return to Florida for Debrief—a special time of rest, reflection, and preparation for returning home. We’ll celebrate what God has done, process what we’ve experienced, and receive training to stay spiritually strong and involved in ministry back home.
How you can be involved by your support in three ways:
Prayer – for safety, unity, health, and open hearts (ours and those we serve)
Encouragement – send a note, verse, or prayer our way!
Support – if you feel led to give financially
Thank you for being part of this journey with me. I am excited to see what God will do this summer in Bolivia.
Monthly support
Has gone down; Right now I am about 75% of my monthly goal. I’m praying and trusting God to provide the remaining 25% so I can continue without interruption.
With gratitude,
Amanda Evans
