Craig & Sharon Butler (Winter 2026)
Dear Friends and Faithful Supporters,
As we pause to reflect on this season, our hearts are full of gratitude—for God’s faithfulness and for each of you who partner with us through prayer, encouragement, and support.
As we continue to serve with Teen Missions International, we are grateful for a season filled with teaching, preparation, and ministry.
At the Sojourner School of Ministry, Craig taught a doctrine class focused on Creation, the Fall, and Salvation, while Sharon is teaching an Intro to Leadership course rooted in the book of Nehemiah. Walking alongside these students as they grow in biblical understanding and leadership has been deeply encouraging.
In addition to teaching, we’ve been serving at the Teen Missions base in Florida, helping prepare for the upcoming teams. Along the way, we’ve had opportunities to assist with training and encouraging new leaders and missionary staff, while also supporting the many behind-the-scenes preparations that help equip teams to be sent out well—spiritually, mentally, and physically.
Liam’s Internship Update
Our son Liam has been faithfully serving as a missionary intern in Africa. His time in Malawi recently came to an end, and we are so thankful for all the Lord did during that season. While there, Liam worked closely with staff and students and helped design new soccer jerseys for the Malawi base—replacing worn, donated jerseys with new ones featuring the Teen Missions logo and
1 Corinthians 10:31: “Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” Seeing the teams wear them during a match just before he left was a meaningful and emotional moment.
During his time in Malawi, Liam had a potential exposure to rabies from a bat. Out of an abundance of caution, he completed the full series of rabies shots and is doing well. We are very thankful for God’s protection and for timely medical care.
Liam has now relocated to Uganda, where he will serve for the next two months before completing the final portion of his internship in Tanzania. He is serving alongside another Bible school student, and we are trusting the Lord for protection, health, and guidance as he seeks God’s direction for his future.
Here’s a short update directly from Liam:
“Hey everyone! My time in Malawi has come to an end. It was a great experience being able to learn from the staff and students there. Saying goodbye was hard, but I know it won’t be the last time I see them. Thank you so much for all your prayers and support!”
Craig will be traveling to Uganda in February to visit Liam and to serve at the Teen Missions base in Jinja. During this trip, Craig plans to visit Rescue Units and Sunday Schools where Teen Missions is reaching thousands of children each week in remote villages, both through ongoing local ministry and regular outreach visits. Many of these children rely on the Rescue Units for food, education, and medical care, and for many, this outreach is their only consistent exposure to the Gospel.
Upcoming Spring Break & Summer Teams
We are also celebrating joyful family news—our daughter Elena and her husband Judah are expecting their first child in July, and we are praising God for this sweet gift.
This spring, Craig and Sharon will be leading a Spring Break outreach team to Yonkers, New York. Nora will be joining us on that team, and later this summer she will serve in Sweden. During the summer, we will also lead a team to a remote Indigenous region of Australia, where we will serve together with Liam. We are grateful for these opportunities and ask for prayer as each team prepares to serve.
