All’s well in Paraguay
The team has been rocking it these last few days. On Sunday, we held a small church service here on the base. Jonathon shared the sermon and the team sang for everyone. We were blessed with a traditional Paraguayan meal after church, which was sauce, cassava, and a fried cheese bread. Our team has truly been welcomed here with unmatched hospitality. The rest of the day was spent going over verses, playing volleyball, and hanging out in the warm sun. After Sunday the temperatures dropped significantly but the team took it like champs. They could be seen huddled up close to the brazier fire and brick stove. We were able to get some more blankets and that helped everyone be more toasty in the 42 degree weather last night! The project is moving forward quickly. The team has been working on laying bricks and filling in the floor of the main building. The Colombian staff have been doing the roofing. The team has also been clearing trails and mixing concrete. The team loves our nightly bonfires. Every night one team member shares something they’ve been learning. It’s been a sweet time of hanging out, and of course, trying to get the heat to stay with us as we go to our tents. Paraguay is simply beautiful. We are surrounded by pasture land, making it feel like we have miles and miles of empty space around us. We are continuing to see God work, and we’re excited to see what He has next!
God is doing so much through our work in Paraguay! Despite the country being much colder than expected, we have been able to get enough work done that we can already start to see Teen Missions Paraguay take shape! I am so blessed to be a part of this. Kendall B.
Hey everyone, the worksite is going really well. The Lord has helped us to all work together effectively and accomplish a lot. I appreciate all the prayer and support. Luke. O
