Almost there!

A lot has happened since our last report. We've been busy with evangelism and we got to go do some of our site seeing. On Monday morning, we got the opportunity to go to the beach with some of the Malagasy students. The team got to swim in the ocean and also got to buy some jewelry to take home to friends and family. After the beach, we came home and ate lunch and then headed to one of the Bible students' circuits. The team had prepared a presentation, and the kids loved watching them sing and act out the drama. They then spent time playing games with the kids and sang some more songs before it was time to leave. When it was time to leave, we found out that our truck driver had lost the keys to the truck somewhere in the sandy field while he had been dancing with the kids. We all started searching through the entire field, moving the sand back and forth with our feet. We searched for a while and then Samuel M. took the kids and started praying with them. We soon found the keys and then prayed with everyone and thanked God for hearing us. This turned into an opportunity to minister to the kids, which was so cool. On Tuesday we started out the day with practicing our presentation for other upcoming circuits. We then had quiet thirty, breakfast, and then devos. We then had the chance to go to a jersey shop so that our team could purchase some. The team members loved looking through and buying some of them. In the afternoon we drove to a second circuit and did pretty much the same thing as the previous day. There was a lot of duck duck goose and singing. The kids and team members both had a blast! On Wednesday we left early in the morning and headed to a nature reserve where we hoped to see some lemurs. The drive took us over five hours because of some issues with the trucks, but we got there eventually! We took a few tours and got to see some lemurs, some plants, and a few birds. We also took a tour when it was dark in hopes of seeing some nocturnal animals, but we unfortunately didn't get to see any. We had dinner at the restaurant at the reserve and then shared a time of devos. It was fun to go out into nature and explore God's creation. We've had a great week so far as we come close to the end. Pray for patience for our team as we look forward to going home. Also pray for the ability to stay focused in the moment that God has placed us in. Thank you all for your prayers!

Yeah, sooo low key just got a hair cut from a Malagasy Bible student so Madagascar has been absolutely fire! I've grown close to my team and leading worship has been a blast! We saw lemurs and different kinds of animals! Madagascar is beautiful and I hope to be back one day! Even though this trip is coming close to an end, I am grateful to God for every moment I've gotten whether good or bad because after all God has a plan and He's leading me through it. This is my first experience out of the United States. Madagascar is very green. Our team saw chameleons, lemurs, some pretty cool trees, and plants. I have enjoyed my time here. Working with the students has been fun. We got the roof of their staff building done. -Gabe B.

Yo wassup everyone! Your fav Sam from the Madagascar team just got back from the animal reserve. We got to see some lemurs and some other animals. It was so fun getting to see all of God's amazing creation while having fellowship with the team. It's been a great time in Madagascar. I'm excited and disappointed to go back to America. Hey guys I hope things have been good at home! We just got back from the reserve. I got to see lemurs and southern hemisphere stars. It was awesome. The circuits have been going really well. The kids are fun to play with and pushing me out of my comfort zone in a positive manner. With less then 2 weeks left I'm trying to stay focused on the present. I'm praying for everyone at hope and very thankful for this experience. -Natalie C.

Hi everyone! It's crazy to think about how when I look up at the stars, it's the same ones I look up at when I'm at home in Canada. I've gotten so many wonderful reminders of how our God is so infinitely vast. I've enjoyed the days on the beach, the experience at the national park and my favorite afternoons being spent sitting under the trees here at the base. I'm so grateful for the things God has taught me and excited to have been given the privilege to experience this incredible adventure. -Londyn D.

Had a six hour drive to the reserve which was actually really fun. Got to see lemurs and some chameleons. My favorite part was seeing the baobab trees. They were sooooo tall. Pictures were awesome and we had a great time looking at the stars that night. God's creation on full display was amazing, and also reminded me once again how great God is and how beautiful he made the Earth.  -Caiden C.
