Homeward Bound!
Hi, guys! So much has happened. We have been going around to the circuits and evangelizing to the children. The kids here are so sweet and receptive! God has been showing me patience, surrender, and true sacrifice. I have truly felt the joy of the Lord here! -Lilly M.
The summer is almost over, but that does not mean God is done! Teen Missions Madagascar has become a home, the staff students are so loving and kind! Leading worship has been a blessing and has been so much fun! The circuits have been going great! Presenting to the kids and playing with them has been a ton of fun. My relationship with God and love for Him and His people deepens everyday, and I know he has put me here this summer on purpose! I'm going to be so sad saying goodbye to the students who feel more like brothers and sisters and the coordinators who love me like their son (also little Miavekah whose his mom calls me his uncle, lol). I just can't wait to see what God does with me next! -Sammy M.
This summer has been a really cool experience. It's been so fun to play with the kids, and I have really enjoyed talking with the BMW students at the base here. Can't wait to see you! Love you! -Clara W.
This trip has been such a blessing! I have gotten so much closer to my Lord and Savior and am so glad that I came, but I also can’t wait to return! We have enjoyed working on our work project and experiencing the Malagasy circuits. On these circuits we have been evangelizing to LOTS of kids along with conducting a small presentation for the children and adults on the circuits. My team is great and our leaders are even more amazing(especially Mr. Paul and Mrs. Beth)! I am excited to go home and share this wonderful trip with my family and friends! -Brooks S
I can’t believe this summer is almost over! Time has flown! My happy place this summer has 100% been in the kitchen, making and recreating different baked goods. This climate makes it hard to kill yeast, so it’s been a journey baking a bunch of fluffy bread!! I’ve also made lots of cinnamon rolls, muffins, pizza pockets, etc. I praise the Lord for all the fun times, growth, and challenges. God is good! I’ll be back soon and can’t wait to get some big hugs:) -Mari W.
We’re about to leave! This summer has felt so long but has also gone by so fast. We’ve been having an amazing time with the last few circuits playing soccer and other games with the kids. Our last shopping day went very well getting many fun gifts for family and friends. I’m excited to come back home but will definitely be missing these friends we’ve gotten so close to on our team and the people here in Madagascar. -Ezekiel R.
This year I have had the best year of my life. God has taught me how to listen to him and do what he says. There has been some hard days, but he has always taught me something. I have also learned that rely on him each and every day. -Caleb K.
I had a lot of great experiences on this team. I had a lot of fun playing with the kids at the circuits. It has been great to be with this team and God has taught me to work hard during the work project. I feel like this team has had good unity and we got along really well. -Sydney. T.
My summer has been great! I’ve enjoyed it so much for so many different reasons. My favorite part has definitely been going on the circuits; I love seeing all of the Malagasy children have fun playing and singing with our team. I’m going to miss the people here at the base, specially Mr.Mike and Ms.Queen (the coordinators of the base here in Mahajanga). I love how welcoming, encouraging, and servant hearted they really are. I have been blessed in having the opportunity to meet them and spend my summer here. -Shannon K.
