Beaches, Basketball, & Blessings

This week has been full of opportunities to serve, build relationships, and enjoy God’s beautiful creation. On Monday, we spent the morning cleaning up a local beach by picking up trash. The beach was absolutely beautiful, with crystal-blue water and islands stretching across the horizon. As stunning as it was, we also had to stay alert because crocodiles are known to live in the area. It was a great reminder of both the beauty and uniqueness of this place. Later that evening, we went to the local park to spend time with the children. We played basketball, rugby, and ran around the playground together. It was a joy to see their excitement and energy, and we were thankful for the opportunity to build friendships through simple games and conversations. On Tuesday, our team split into two groups. Half of the team went to the park to help clean and improve the playground for the local children, while the other half worked around the home of our local missionaries, helping clean up the outside of their property. After finishing our projects, we all met at another park where we spent more time playing basketball and rugby with the kids. These moments have been some of the highlights of the week as we’ve continued to connect with the community. Wednesday was more of a slower-paced day that allowed us to rest and enjoy time together as a team. In the morning, everyone painted their own buoy, which was a fun and creative activity. Later in the afternoon, we enjoyed doing arts and crafts together. It has been refreshing to slow down, laugh together, and continue growing as a team. Overall, it has been a wonderful week. We are thankful for the opportunities God has given us to serve, encourage others, and build relationships with the people here. We look forward to seeing what He has in store for the rest of our time here in the NPA!

Junah- It has been such a blessing to serve alongside this wonderful community. Whether we’ve been playing with the kids, picking up trash, or helping make their park a safer place, every opportunity has allowed us to share Christ’s love in practical ways. It’s been incredible to see how even small acts of service can make a meaningful impact, and we’re so thankful to witness the relationships God is already building. We can’t wait to see what He continues to do during the rest of our time here.

Emma- Hi everyone! I’ve been having such an amazing time here in Australia. Right now, we are in Injinoo, sharing the gospel and building relationships with kids around the ages of 9–15. It has been such a blessing to see how God is working through this trip. I’ve had the opportunity to lead worship, write my own songs, and truly rely on the Lord during this season. God has been teaching me so much about trusting Him and using the gifts He has given me for His glory. I’ve also gained a new family through my team, and I’m so thankful for the friendships and growth we’ve shared together. I’m excited to see how God continues to work in each of us by the end of this trip. Love you all! Mom, Dad, and happy early birthday, Jake!

Jordan- Hi everyone! We are in Injinoo right now, and it has been such an amazing experience. We’ve had the opportunity to spend time with the kids after school, building relationships and just enjoying time together. We’ve been playing rugby, touch football, and creating memories with the youth here. It has been such a blessing to connect with the people of this community. We’ve made so many great friends here in Australia, and they will always have a special place in our hearts and prayers. We are so thankful for the relationships God has allowed us to build.
