Crushing the Wall & Chasing Madagascar

It’s hard to believe that it has already been a week since the team began arriving—time has flown by! This past week, the team participated in Advanced Evangelism classes, Music training, and Block Laying. They thoroughly enjoyed each of these courses and are excited for the new classes ahead this week, including Drama, Puppets, Carpentry, Digging, Motorcycle Sunday School Training, Concrete, and a Work Projects class. We also had our day of KP duty, which involved washing countless dishes, serving meals, sweeping, and mopping. The team tackled every task with enthusiasm and proved to be excellent workers. Our team consists of 19 members—12 guys and 7 girls. Eleven are former team members (FTMs), while eight are serving on a team for the first time. One of the greatest blessings this week has been watching how quickly the team has bonded. It has been encouraging to see them support one another, share plenty of laughter, and strengthen each other in their walks with Christ. The team has also had some notable accomplishments. They earned a second-place finish in the Clean Tent Site Award and captured first place in two of the three Obstacle Course events. On the very first day, they successfully got every team member over the Wall with minutes to spare—an achievement that is quite rare. Yesterday, the team enjoyed our annual Pizza and Milkshake Dinner, and it was a big hit. They certainly seem to have healthy appetites, so I have a feeling they will keep me busy in the kitchen all summer! As Boot Camp enters its final week, excitement continues to build. Commissioning is on Saturday, and we will begin our journey to Madagascar on Monday morning. Please continue to pray for the team—for ongoing unity, good health, safety, spiritual growth and that God would continue to prepare their hearts for the ministry ahead.

Boot Camp has been hard, but also fun. My team has really bonded well together and I can't wait to see how the Lord will use us this summer. - Clara W.

Boot Camp is going well. It has been great getting to know my team members personally and training with them. The Obstacle Course has been going very well also. I am excited for the Lord to use us in Madagascar. - Levi S.
