First week in Paraguay is done!!
These first several days in Paraguay have been such a fun adventure!God has been gracious in keeping us safe and well cared for even in a new environment with new challenges. We all are slowly adjusting to the climate… it is a bit cooler than Boot Camp, but we are so grateful. The sunsets have been glorious, and our bonfires each night have been the perfect way to spend time together as a team before bed. The team is working hard every day to clear the land and further the construction of a pole barn for the new Teen Missions base here. The work project will certainly keep us busy for the next several weeks, and we are excited to see the progress as we keep working alongside some of the Columbian Teen Missions staff who are here in Paraguay. For the 4th of July, one of our amazing team members woke us all up by serenading us with a beautiful violin rendition our national anthem. Later in the evening, after the team walked 3 miles to a nearby church service, the lady leaders surprised everyone with homemade fried donuts to feast on around a roaring bonfire. As we look back over the last couple of days it has been so cool to watch the team bond, spend more time together, get their hands dirty and serve the Lord as a unit. We look forward to what God has for us this week and pray for His continued provision, protection, and presence in all that we are doing.
“The team here in Paraguay is doing well. We know that the Lord‘s will is being accomplished in and through us, but I miss everyone greatly and look forward to our homecoming. Praise the Lord in everything!” Lando B.
