Wow, the Lord has been working through the Australia team these past 4 days! On Monday (July 6th) The team packed what they would need for the next few days, then we hopped on “dinghies” and made our way to Badu island. In Badu we were immediately covered with their generosity from the house that they prepared for us to stay in, to the food we ate that evening. Once we got settled in, the team walked a few minutes over to a house that was hosting a youth outreach event for the next week. The team got to play games with the kids like soccer, “duck duck goose”, and mingle mingle. We were served delicious culture foods. After eating the team taught the youth some dances and sang worship with them. Brayden F shared her testimony. We feel so blessed as leaders to have team members that are willing to serve and share the gospel through many different ministries! The next morning the team headed over to a huge field near the place we were staying to be a light for Christ through sports, games, and building relationships. The team learned how to play rugby and ate delicious foods that the people there prepared for everyone. After a long afternoon the team had a rest period to prepare for the evening ahead. That night was once again, filled with the spirit as the team set a great example for Christ while fellowshipping with the youth there. That night was very impactful with the team recording 3 salvations that night. Praise the Lord! The team also tried Dugong (sea cow/manatees cousin). The next morning (day 3 on Badu island) after breakfast the team got invited to fellowship with the youth on a beach close by. The team had a great time that morning/afternoon relaxing next to the blue water, playing volleyball, rugby, and drinking coconut water. Later that evening, at the youth outreach the team danced, played games, and shared their presentation which included dances, drama, worship, and testimonies from Wesley B along with Ezra E. The team also had a great time making balloon animals for the kids. Sadly, our team had to say our goodbyes as the next morning we woke up and moved back to Moa island. Currently (July 9th) team Australia is here on Moa island. We plan on being here for one night then heading to the Main Land in the morning. The people here on Moa Island will be hosting a farewell dinner for us tonight. The team has made a very special connection with the people here on Moa.
What a blessing Moa & Badu have been to our team this past week. The Lord has been at work here on these islands!
