Greetings from the Islands!
It’s been an exciting few days here in the Philippines! The team has worked hard as they began digging footers for the foundation of a new staff house, as well as cutting down and clearing old banana trees. They’re having a blast working alongside some of the Filipino Bible school students and staff, and getting to know them better during free time—basketball is a fan favorite! Over the weekend, the team had the opportunity to visit the mall in Butuan City, where they enjoyed exploring the shops, drinking Boba tea, and getting “Merry Cones” (Mango ice cream for 50 cents!!) They also had the privilege of visiting a local church on Sunday morning, and did an amazing job with their first official team presentation! Following the service, the church graciously provided a delicious lunch, and everyone loved getting to share time with Filipino brothers and sisters in Christ. More updates soon, we can’t wait to see how God is going to move through this team and ministry!
My time in the Philippines so far has been amazing! We started digging out the area where we are laying the foundation. We also did our first presentation. I can’t wait to grow closer to God on this trip.” - Blade M.
“Our time in the Philippines has been so fun! We got our work project started, and it’s been moving along fast. We’re having so much fun getting dirty and laughing with the Filipinos as we work. My favourite part so far has probably been the view from the top of the property, it’s the best spot for devos.” - Charity L.
