It’s not the end!
As many of you already know, team Philippines has arrived safely back to Teen Missions in Florida for debrief. We praise the Lord for smooth and safe travels, and all of our luggage made it as well! The Lord has been so gracious to us as we’ve been on this journey for the past 6 weeks! We arrived at TMI in Florida around 2:30am, on Sunday morning after experiencing August 1st for 36 hours! The trip was long, but the Lord showed His favor on this team, and there weren’t any complications. After getting settled ,we finally went to bed no later than than 4 am. Today we took the team to wash laundry and for a brunch. Once the clothes were washed, we went bowling in Merritt Island, thanks to a generous contribution from one of the parents. We’re now looking forward for to what the Lord has in store for us during debrief. Although our time together is coming to an end, it is just the beginning of being able to share with others what the Lord has done in our lives! We look forward to having that opportunity! Malachi: I have had a great time in the Philippines. I learned God is working even when we don’t think he is. I realized how amazing He really is. Thank you for your prayers. Rebecca: Being with the Filipino people has given me a lot to be thankful for. It’s a good reminder to be thankful for everything. I’m so thankful for this opportunity and this team. Gavin: God has worked on me, even when the summer was hard. He answered all of our prayers, from making all our luggage arrive safely to restoring power when it was out. The Lord is faithful! Blade: My summer in the Philippines was amazing! The biggest thing I learned was how much I take God’s creation for granted. For now on I will be much more thankful! Jenavive: This summer I learned how generous and happy people can be even when they have nothing! This summer has impacted my life for the way I think of missions. I definitely think God’s plan for my future will involve missions, and I can’t wait to see what God has in store for me!
Aaron: Throughout the summer I have continued to learn and see how loving and caring our God is. He has continually answered all our prayers and always protected us through all our travels and stay in the Philippines.
Charity: This year on our trip God has really pushed me out of my comfort zone to further my relationship with Him, from helping me start presentation songs to sharing in evening devos. I love having a small team and have made so many friendships that will last. I’m so glad God’s plan brought me back to TMI this summer.
