Work Heartily as for the Lord

Greetings everyone from the lovely land of the Philippines! This past Monday, we had the team practice their performance a few times for the Sunday School we were heading to later on that day. After a quick drive, we arrived at another rural church where kids, leaving school for the day, were able to join us. Over 50 kids, not including some of the parents that attended, heard the Gospel. The team did an amazing job bestowing love on those kiddos through puppets, drama, and handing out candy. Afterward, some of the Circuit Riders took us over the community’s hanging bridge where we were able to take some photos. Tuesday was a day of preparation for the work project, which consisted of trying steel for the flooring and finishing the hole for the septic tank. Wednesday was the biggest work day yet! The team, along with the staff and students, spent 5 hours laying 600 square feet of concrete flooring. They hauled 28 bags of powdered cement and 196 bags of sand/ rock mixture up a flight of stairs towards the mixer. They mixed and poured the flooring in record time. The team members worked incredibly well with the Filipinos; we as leaders couldn’t have been more proud. Pray that we continue to work heartily for the Lord as we count down the days of our last week, especially for the last few Sunday Schools we’ll be attending. Pray that we can put the same energy into our presentations as we did for our big work day. Thank you again prayer warriors for praying for these team members, they really are something special for the advancement of the Kingdom of God.

(Malachi A.) Hello, I have enjoyed the Philippines so much! I have enjoyed sharing our presentation, hanging out with the students, and working on the worksite. We have seen beautiful sights just about everywhere we have been. I am looking forward to our sightseeing day tomorrow. I have been learning to enjoy the little moments instead of thinking about what’s happening next. I look forward to coming home and sharing my summer experiences.

(Rebecca M.) The time we have spent in the Philippines has been the best. Working with the BMW students has been amazing. God has been working in my life like never before. Love you Dad!

(Gavin C.) Yo, what is up friends and family, miss you. The one thing I’ve been enjoying is getting to know the team. My favorite part was going zip-lining. That was a blast! It’s been fun ministering to the kids and to see how happy they are. The one thing I’m going to miss a lot is how amazing this team is. The Lord is good and faithful and I can’t wait to see y’all when I get back. This summer is a 10/10!
