Greetings from UGANDA!
We were gifted a meal in the airport by Lando’s parents, so we all enjoyed some Wendy’s in the Orlando airport while we waited for our first flight! THANK YOU LANDO’S PARENTS!!!
By God’s grace we ran through the airport and made both of our connecting flights from Washington Dulles to Brussels, and Brussels to Entebbe. Both times we weren’t sure we would make it! A few team members said, “I feel like I just ran the obstacle course!” They all did such an amazing job sticking together as a team and following instructions from the leaders. The flights felt long but were all smooth. When we arrived in Entebbe, we all made it smoothly through immigration, and then we found that none of our 43 checked bags were there. We each filled out missing luggage forms and they found out that our bags are all still in Washington DC. Good thing we had the team pack a couple of extra outfits in their backpacks! We will have to make do with what we have until our bags arrive in the next day or two. And I know they will take good care of us at the base as well! Mr. Steven N’gambi, the coordinator of Teen Missions in Uganda, was at the airport with the bus, pickup truck, and the drivers waiting for us. Thank you for praying for us!!! We can testify that God’s hand was with us every step of the way and we have much to praise and thank Him for! Here are a few pictures from our travels.
Much love from the Uganda team!!!
Writing from the bus ride from Entebbe to Jinja. All team members and leaders and leader kids are healthy, just exhausted! We praise the Lord.
